JOB SUMMARY
Assists Drivers in servicing retail accounts by stocking and rotating product in the back rooms and cold boxes while assuring freshness and quality control are maintained. If needed, displays product on sales floor of retail store to attract attention of prospective customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following: Other duties as assigned.
Comply with Markstein Beverage Company policies, procedures and standards and Anheuser-Busch Equity Agreement requirements by accomplishing the following:

Comply with all supplier contracts policies, procedures and standards.

Drive to establish account and perform required service.

Assist Drivers in delivering products into stores and rotating product.

Transport product from on-site storage area to shelves and cooler.

Greets retailer/buyer, manager or owner to discuss service objectives.

Organize back stock room, rotate product in back stock room, in the cold box or on display and place new product on the shelves following our strict rotation and stocking policy.

Check for quality control and rotation of the product at the retail account.

Ensure that quality control standards are being consistently met.

Clean and organize on-site storage area after completion on stocking product.

Fill cold box and dry shelf to capacity with all Markstein products.

When necessary, places product on display or on floor in front of cold box or where store manager designates.

Confers with Driver or Sales Supervisor to resolve customer problems.

Palletizes club store orders if needed.

Assist in special assignments as required by Driver Supervisor.

Confer with delivery and merchandising team to insure proper coordination of delivery and merchandising requests.

Complete in a timely manner all daily required administrative duties.


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Assist in completing re-sets at chain and independent stores.

Assist in special assignments as required by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. And frequently read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and simple correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain a valid Class C driver’s license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and drive a vehicle, bend and twist at neck and waist, kneel, and power grasp with both hands. The employee must frequently talk, hear, walk, stand, squat, twist, turn, crouch, stoop, squat and reach below shoulder level. The employee must constantly use hands, grasp, push and pull.

The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 50 lbs at a height of 4 feet and occasionally carry same a distance of 5 feet. The employee must occasionally lift between 51 to 75 lbs. at a height of 2 feet, this is a 75 lb. 40 oz. case of product and carry up to 5 feet. Must competently and safely maneuver a fully loaded hand truck of up to 165 lbs (kegs) in and out of truck and into customers premises.

Delivery Truck Driver

Deliver, shelf stock and merchandise product to all pre-sold accounts in a safe, accurate and time efficient manner. Maximize every opportunity to increase sales and distribution of all Markstein Sales Co. products while maintaining a high level of customer service and product quality Responsibilities Include:

  • Meets established Markstein Sales Company delivery standards and Anheuser-Busch Equity Agreement requirements by performing the following duties:
    • Must be able to drive automatic and manual shift trucks.
    • Must be able to deliver and render services to all our different type of accounts.
    • Rotates, stocks, and checks all product for quality control.
    • Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating product as necessary to ensure product freshness.
    • Informs regular accounts/customers of new products or services.
    • Listens to and resolves service complaints with accounts.

Must have:

  • Current Class A Driver License and medical card
  • Ability to work a physically demanding load (e.g. 160# kegs)
  • Strong work ethic

Route Service Representative

Summary:

Services retail accounts by stocking and rotating product while assuring freshness and quality control are maintained. Displays merchandise such as counter cards, table tents, window banners, and display toppers in windows, showcases, and products on display and on sales floor of retail store to attract attention of prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

Meets established Markstein Sales Company policies and standards and Anheuser-Busch Equity Agreement requirements by accomplishing the following:

  • Comply with all Markstein Sales Company service standards/practices, procedures and policies at all times.
  • Comply with all supplier contracts policies, procedures and standards.
  • Drive through assigned territory to call on established accounts and perform required service.
  • Transport product from on-site storage area to shelves and cooler.
  • Rotate existing product and place new product on the shelves following our strict rotation and stocking policy.
  • Clean and organize on-site storage area after completion on stocking product.
  • Refill existing displays with product from the on-site storage areas.

Physical Demands:

  • Job requires employee to drive a vehicle (car or truck), work a pallet jack and work around fork lifts.
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and between 26 to 50 lbs at a height of 3 feet.
  • The employee is frequently required to lift between 11 to 25 lbs at a height of 3 feet and carry a distance of up to 8 feet.
  • Employee must be able to efficiently maneuver a fully loaded hand truck.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
