The Alameda County Fair

Alameda County Fairgrounds
The Alameda County Fairgroundsis a 270-acre facility located in Pleasanton, California. It is home to the annual Alameda County Fair, held since 1912, as well as numerous trade shows and community events. Located on its grounds, the Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack was built in 1858, making it the oldest one-mile horse racing track in the United States. There is a 3,000 seat amphitheater, as well as a 9-hole golf course located within the track’s infield.

Goodguys Rod & Custom Association

Goodguys
Held at the Alameda County Fairgrounds four times annually, the Goodguys Car Shows features over 3,500 American Made or Powered Rods, Customs, Classics, Muscle Cars and Trucks of all years. It also has an Indoor Car Show, the famous Swap Meet, Vendor and Manufacturer exhibits, Kids Zone, live music and much more.

Scottish Highland Games

Scottish Highland Games

The annual Scottish Highland Gathering and Games are produced entirely by volunteers from the Caledonian Club of San Francisco. Today, the Caledonian Club of San Francisco’s Scottish Highland Gathering and Games are the largest in the USA. The Scottish Highland Games is a 2-day event that normally takes place in September at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. It features Heavy Events Championships, the US Drum Major Championships, the Western U.S. Open Highland Dancing Championships and various grades of Pipe Band Competitions.

Lafayette Art, Wine & Music Festival

Lafayette Art, Wine & Music Festival
The Lafayette Art, Wine and Music Festival is held the 3rd weekend in September, and is perhaps the largest annual festival in Contra Costa County. In 2016, over 80,000 people strolled among the booths of art, handmade crafts, sampling foods from top local restaurants and enjoying quality wines and microbrews, pausing to enjoy continuous music from our two main stages. It hosts more than 250 fine arts and crafts booths, restaurants, food vendors, wineries and microbreweries. Continuous musical entertainment is presented on four stages. There is a kid’s area with entertainment and activities for kids of all ages. There are special exhibits and sale of work by local artists, located in our local Artist Alley.

Clayton Art & Wine Festival

Clayton Art & Wine Festival
Come early for parking close to the event and wear cozy shoes to explore the talents of hundreds of unique vendors that will fill Clayton’s Historic Main Street with fine original artwork and unique handcrafted exhibits. The festival offers a wide selection of California’s wineries and popular brewed beers. Back by popular demand is our Premium Wine Tent which will feature a high quality local winery for your tasting pleasure. Your youngsters will love Kiddieland full of lots of games and fun.  And we haven’t forgotten about your tweens & teens. Games & rides geared toward their liking will be found in our Teen Zone.

Bay Area Craft Beer Festival

Bay Area Craft Beer Festival

The Bay Are Craft Beer Festival in downtown Martinez began in 2010 to highlight the at and flavor of craft beer in Martinez and surrounding communities. Produced by Main Street Martinez, the festival draws 3,000 people to enjoy beer from over 35 microbreweries, live music and food from local restaurants.
